Driving Positive Impact for our Communities and the Environment

Graphic Village strives to operate as a responsible, environmentally-conscious business committed to helping our communities grow and thrive. For years, we have focused on delivering against our sustainability goals and practicing a range of green initiatives. We also proudly support local and national organizations that provide much-needed services throughout the communities we serve.

Environmental Stewardship

We only have one planet to live on. That’s why Graphic Village is committed to doing our part to help protect and preserve its future. We believe in responsible manufacturing and material sourcing, and practice several green initiatives to ensure everything we produce is done so in an environmentally-conscious way. Learn more about our sustainability efforts and practices below.

Recycling

We strive to do all we can to minimize waste and reduce our impact on the environment. Our recycling efforts aim to ensure the responsible use and management of our resources. We continually recycle:

  • Pre-consumer and post-consumer paper
  • Metal printing plates
  • Corrugated cartons
  • Board stock
  • Pallets

Responsible Materials

Materials involved in the printing process such as inks, toners, and coatings, as well as packaging materials, all influence the industry’s environmental impact. We are proud to show our support for good forest management by earning certification by the Forest Stewardship Council. The FSC is an international organization that ensures all paper and paper products used by certified members have come from responsibly-managed forests. We also focus on the use of eco-friendly and responsibly-sourced materials, including:

  • Soy & vegetable-based inks
  • Water-soluble inks & chemicals
  • Packaging board produced using recycled paperboard

Facility

Our sustainable practices also include efforts to ensure our operations and equipment optimize efficiency and minimize our environmental footprint whenever possible.

  • Environmental settings are set to optimal production times and turn off when the building is not is use
  • The majority of our material moving equipment is battery operated and rechargeable

Community

Graphic Village is committed to investing our time and talent in the communities where we work, play and live. Whether it’s through volunteer efforts or charitable donations, we strive to have a greater impact in helping our communities grow and thrive. Specifically, we focus our support on Youth Development, Advancing Healthcare, Enhancing Education, and The Arts.
