At Graphic Village, bringing brands to life has always required precision, innovation and long-term thinking. Now, we’re applying that same mindset to how we power our operations.
We’re proud to announce the completion of a 1,454-kilowatt rooftop solar array at our Blue Ash headquarters — now the largest rooftop solar PV system in the Cincinnati region. The installation marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to responsible manufacturing, operational excellence and environmental stewardship.
Designed for Impact — Today and for Decades to Come
The new system consists of 2,486 solar panels and is projected to generate approximately 1,730,012 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity annually. That production is expected to offset roughly 80% of our headquarters’ annual electricity consumption, dramatically reducing our reliance on the grid.
During peak summer months, the system is projected to offset the building’s electricity demand while continuing to deliver meaningful reductions in grid dependency year-round.
From a financial perspective, the array is expected to generate approximately $144,000 in first-year energy savings and an estimated $12 million in savings over 30 years, with a projected payback period of 4.6 years. This positions the investment as both environmentally responsible and fiscally strategic.
A Measurable Reduction in Carbon Emissions
Over its lifetime, the solar array is estimated to offset approximately 27,640 metric tons of carbon dioxide — equivalent to removing more than 62 million vehicle miles from the road or planting more than 414,000 trees.
These measurable outcomes reinforce our responsibility to operate thoughtfully within the communities we serve.
A Natural Extension of Our Commitment to Responsible Manufacturing
“For more than a century, we’ve evolved alongside the industries and communities we serve,” said Eric Kahn, Executive Chairman of Graphic Village. “Installing the region’s largest rooftop solar PV system is a natural extension of our focus on operational excellence and environmental stewardship.”
The solar array builds upon our broader sustainability initiatives, including responsible material sourcing, FSC® certification and continued investment in efficient production practices designed to reduce environmental impact while maintaining the quality standards clients expect.
Installation began in August 2025 and was completed in January 2026 at our Blue Ash campus, which is also home to sister companies LPK and Intrinzic. The project was delivered in partnership with Melink Solar, a Cincinnati-based commercial solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm.
“Graphic Village makes brands visible. Their solar array now makes their commitment to sustainability visible, all while slashing carbon emissions and reducing electricity costs,” said Seth Parker, CEO of Melink Solar.
As we continue to invest in innovation across print, packaging, environmental graphics, direct mail, fulfillment and branded merchandise, we remain equally committed to powering that work responsibly — combining advanced technology, disciplined execution and thoughtful resource management to support the next century of growth.
